RADIOSOL Patch Notes: Official Fixes & Improvements
Published · Updated
This page summarizes official RADIOSOL patch notes from Steam Community news for app ID 2934330. It is not a list of rumors or datamined changes. Dates below use the converted UTC dates noted in the researched Steam News material.
If a guide on this site conflicts with a newer update, treat the official patch notes as the newer source and check the affected route again. RADIOSOL is still early in its post-launch update cycle, so navigation, downloads and late-Chapter 1 objectives are the areas most likely to be adjusted.
October 4, 2026 patch
The October 4 patch resolved several ambiguous moments and added geographical hints. This is directly relevant to new players who were unsure where to go after leaving the Starting Shelter or between major Chapter 1 landmarks.
It also fixed an interrupted downloading bug and a digital-signature softlock. If you previously lost progress during a transfer or could not continue a signature-dependent objective, retrying after this patch may resolve the issue.
The update includes fixes for damage saving, the life-support core, run and step animation, triggers, colliders, sound, text, rendering and achievement issues. That broad list suggests a general stability pass rather than a content expansion.
For route planning, the important point is that the October 4 patch does not introduce a new chapter or ending. The story scope remains the released Chapter 1 build. Use the RADIOSOL Full Walkthrough for the current route.
October 1, 2026 patch
The October 1 patch fixed excessive Player.log growth and improved graphics performance. Players who experienced rapid log growth or unstable performance had a specific official fix within days of launch.
It also fixed a critical softlock when exiting the Sphere through the entry route. If you are exploring around the Power Sphere, this is one of the most important changes for avoiding a wasted run.
Navigation received several improvements. Valve-free phrasing aside, the official notes say the update improved navigation to the Sphere entrance and Service Depot, corrected cardinal-direction hints and a marker prompt, and displayed district names on every visit.
These changes matter for players using fan-made directions. If you are following an older walkthrough, district names and corrected directional hints may make some routes clearer. Our RADIOSOL Map Guide uses researched locations rather than claiming an official basemap.
The patch also fixed localization typos. This does not change objectives, but it can make some prompts easier to understand, especially if an earlier typo made a system or location name confusing.
September 22, 2026 update
The September 22 update predates the September 30 Steam release date listed for RADIOSOL. It fixed multiple spots where the player could get stuck and closed numerous out-of-bounds gaps.
It also added objects, tutorial text and new files. Tutorial text is especially relevant to the opening route, while added files can affect the systems menu and progression flow.
Radio markers became saveable in this update. That is an important quality-of-life change because the radio system is tied to story prompts, source tracking and later puzzle objectives rather than being pure background lore.
Other fixes touched spider-damage audio, cognitive damage, the Megapol lobby and Dust Devil behavior. Together, they show the developer smoothing both the combat-adjacent hazards and the Megapol area before the public launch build.
How to use patch information
Use patch notes as a version marker when a guide stops working. If a transfer fails, a softlock appears or a route seems impossible, check whether the guide was written before the relevant fix. Our pages record a checked date so mismatches are easier to spot.
For technical problems, the official notes are more reliable than generalized PC advice. Before changing drivers or reinstalling, see whether the symptom matches a listed fix such as Player.log growth, interrupted downloads, rendering or performance.
For completion, recheck collectibles and achievements after an update. The October 4 notes mention achievement issues, so a previously unlocked or unlockable achievement may behave differently across builds. The RADIOSOL Achievements page lists the nine conditions researched for this guide.
The October patches do not add a confirmed ending list. If you are looking for the current story endpoint, our RADIOSOL All Endings page explains why no official ending count is claimed.
Source and verification policy
These summaries come from the official Steam News API checked on October 5, 2026. Patch titles use the developer's Steam titles, and dates are converted from official timestamps to UTC as noted in the source material.
No active RADIOSOL Codes were verified in the same research pass. This page will not add code rewards until an official source confirms both the code and the redemption method.
