RADIOSOL Puzzle Solutions: Train, Depot, Radio & Fan

Published · Updated

These RADIOSOL puzzle solutions cover the four machines most likely to stop a Chapter 1 run: the train coupling terminal, the Depot radio, the Radio 0 transmitter and the Agglomerate 5 fan. Each solution uses the researched walkthrough material rather than guessed values.

If a solution fails, check two things first. Confirm that the required file is active in the systems menu, and confirm that you are playing a build after the official patches checked on October 5, 2026. Early download and signature softlocks were specifically addressed in update notes.

Train coupling puzzle

The goal is to return locomotive L with cars 01 and 02 only. Do not connect the later cargo cars. The puzzle is about isolating the safe train, not forming the longest one.

  1. Send locomotive L outside the station toward car 01.
  2. Couple L to car 01.
  3. Move forward until L and car 01 reach car 02.
  4. Couple cars 01 and 02.
  5. Disconnect cars 02-03, 03-04, 04-05 and 05-06.
  6. Confirm that only L, 01 and 02 remain connected.
  7. Send the train to the Factory Section.

After the train arrives, find the black car with flashing red lights. Download the NED signature from it. This signature becomes part of the later prerequisite chain, so activate it from the systems menu if it is not automatically active.

The puzzle rewards slow verification. Before sending the train, scroll through the coupling state and confirm that the dangerous cars are actually detached. A single remaining connection can undo the entire trip.

Depot radio puzzle

The Depot is very dark, so activate NightOwl before entering the deeper route. This makes the red-lit duct and the fenced radio device much easier to navigate.

  1. Crawl through the ventilation duct to the fenced radio device.
  2. Inspect the device and copy its configuration.
  3. Open your radio from the systems menu.
  4. Choose the cross-shaped symbol in the lower-left sonogram panel.
  5. Move the target to L_Resort.
  6. Enable signal reception.

Stay near the exit and let the roaming machine come into signal range. When music plays through the radio, press E to download Level 3 Access. Do not chase the machine into exposed or unknown ground; the route depends on positioning and patience.

Afterward, open the systems menu and activate NED. This is the step most likely to be missed. The later fan terminal expects both Level 3 Access and NED, so a skipped activation can look like a broken terminal.

For radio context, see RADIOSOL Frequencies. It separates the researched configuration from claims about a broader frequency list that the material does not confirm.

Radio 0 transmitter puzzle

The Radio 0 terminal is inside the circular, water-tank-like structure to the right of the large antenna. Descend into that structure. The tower itself is a landmark, but it is not where you enter the values.

Use these researched values:

Interface X Y
Receiver 50.0 -50.0
Output 50.0 -50.0
SDR_Transmitter.mByte 0.750 0.250

The receiver and output values are civilian coordinates. The SDR_Transmitter.mByte sliders use a different scale, but they represent the same target point. Once all values match, initiate transmit and the objective should update.

If the terminal has no effect, retrace the prerequisites. You need transmitter software from the yellow-light antenna near the Train Repair Yard, plus the earlier signature and access progression. The RADIOSOL Signals page explains how those cues connect.

Fan terminal near Agglomerate 5

The fan terminal requires Level 3 Access and NED. If it rejects your first attempt, do not immediately assume the fan is broken. Return to the systems menu and check whether NED is actually active.

When both prerequisites are present, use Emergency Stop to shut off the fan. Crawl through the shaft into the Power Sphere route. This is the moment where the preparation chain finally pays off.

Inside, activate the three power injectors to restore the Power Sphere. That action advances the story and changes the return route because shadows begin moving faster.

Prerequisite chain at a glance

The Chapter 1 machine puzzles form a chain rather than isolated mini-games. The train puzzle provides the NED signature, the Depot radio provides Level 3 Access, and the fan terminal uses both to open the Power Sphere.

NightOwl from Chemical Plant is also part of the practical chain. You can technically list it as an upgrade, but in route terms it is what makes the Depot puzzle navigable.

Radio 0 is the final transmitter step. It depends on the software and progression collected earlier, so solving it out of order is rarely the best use of time.
