RADIOSOL Guide: Core Loop, Content & Chapter 1
Published · Updated
RADIOSOL is a single-player science-fiction exploration game on Steam. You guide a many-limbed machine through abandoned cities, industrial ruins and towering artificial structures after a planetary catastrophe. Direct sunlight is dangerous, so progress depends on reading the environment, finding shade and planning each crossing before you move.
This guide is a starting point rather than a replacement for the detailed pages on this site. It explains the core loop, the current content scope and the safest way to choose a next step. If you are already past the opening area, go directly to the RADIOSOL Walkthrough or the RADIOSOL Full Walkthrough.
What RADIOSOL is about
RADIOSOL launched on September 30, 2026, with Chapter 1. The checked Steam listing credits TripletConcept, Yodez, Hius and WhereaboutsUnknown as developers, with TripletConcept as publisher. It is a single-player adventure and supports Windows and Linux through Steam.
The setting is a dead or damaged world exposed to lethal sunlight. You explore abandoned infrastructure and enormous megastructures while collecting files, following radio signals and restoring systems. The story is deliberately fragmented, so observation matters as much as forward movement.
The Steam description frames a larger moral question around the Grove: “The Grove will be burned. Will I burn it?” That question is important context, but it does not confirm an ending count or a final ending. Our RADIOSOL All Endings page keeps that distinction clear.
The core gameplay loop
The first rule is that shade is safety. Direct sunlight damages your machine, so you should identify the next shaded stretch before leaving your current one. Pipes, rails, walls, tunnels and the shadows of large structures are both routes and protection.
The second rule is that height creates information. Climbing reveals distant towers, industrial landmarks and possible paths across the semi-open map. Once you can identify the next landmark, you can choose a route instead of wandering into exposed ground.
The third rule is that signals lead to objectives. Radio broadcasts, story prompts and puzzle transmissions point toward files, access levels and machinery. Downloaded files can unlock new abilities or story progress, so use the systems menu after a transfer and activate what you have received.
First-hour priorities
Complete the tutorial before trying to optimize your route. The opening shelter teaches the basics and introduces systems you will use later. After that, move toward Megapol Station, sign the document to contact N3 and start the main objective chain.
Save before long crossings, optional detours and experiments with sunlight. This is especially useful before attempting the optional sunlight-related achievements or exploring far from the main route. A save near the late Power Sphere sequence is also a sensible stopping point while Chapter 1 is the only released story content.
Collect the Calypso 5 probes when you see them. There are nine in the researched Chapter 1 set, and they are tied to the Odyssey achievement. Our RADIOSOL Collectibles page lists their documented locations in route order.
Current content and updates
RADIOSOL shipped with Chapter 1 rather than a full multi-chapter campaign. The researched route finishes after you restore the Power Sphere and board the train from Megapol Station. Later chapters are described as planned updates to the base game rather than paid DLC.
Official Steam notes in early October addressed several early-launch issues. These included geographic hints, interrupted downloads, a digital-signature softlock, performance problems and navigation improvements. See RADIOSOL Patch Notes for the summarized update history.
No active codes and no official code-redemption process had been verified at the time this page was checked. You can confirm the current status on the RADIOSOL Codes page.
Which page should you use?
Use the beginner guide if you want controls and survival habits. Use the short walkthrough if you only need the main route. Use the full walkthrough if you want a more detailed objective-by-objective pass through Chapter 1.
Use the puzzle page when you are stuck on a train, radio, transmitter or fan terminal. Use signals and frequencies when you need to understand what a broadcast is asking you to do. Use navigation and collectibles when you are checking a landmark or cleaning up probes.
For completion, the RADIOSOL Achievements page lists all nine unlock conditions. The checklist groups story tasks, upgrades, puzzles, probes and achievements in one place. These pages deliberately avoid inventing values or ending names that the source material does not confirm.
Verification notes
This site treats the official Steam page and Steam Community materials as the primary sources. Secondary walkthroughs and fan resources are used for route details and are cross-checked where possible. Time-sensitive facts, such as review counts or player peaks, are only useful on the date they were observed.
Controller support and an official Steam Deck rating were not present in the store data checked on October 5, 2026. Treat those as “to be confirmed” until official information says otherwise. The same caution applies to any future ending chart until later chapters are released and verified.
